We believe the Bible is the revelation of God written, complete and sufficient in all respects.
We believe the Scriptures as “inspired by God” [2 Timothy 3:16] and therefore fully authoritative in themselves, are independent of any church authority, council, or creed, but who have authority simply because they are the Word of God. The Scriptures, as they represent the same talk about God, share in his authority, his power.
We believe in one true God and eternal, [Deuteronomy 33:27] immutable, unchanging.
We believe that God is the Creator of all that exists in heaven and on earth [Genesis 1:1]. The God described in the Bible is unique; he is not like anything or anyone else in the universe [Psalms 71:19]. God has all power, all knowledge, all wisdom [Colossians 2:2-3], and should be all glory, honor and praise. All that comes to pass does so at the decree of God. Everything, ultimately, result in the glory of God.[ 1 Corinthians 10:31]
We believe the Bible teaches that there is only one creator, [Deuteronomy 6:4] God, however, there are three people who share this being of God, the Father,[ 2 Corinthians 1:3] the Son [John 20:28] and the Spirit [Acts 5:3-4]. Each person is fully and completely God, each is described in Scripture as possessing the attributes of God. The Father, Son and Spirit have eternally existed in the relationship described by the term “Trinity.”
We believe that man was created in God’s image.[Genesis 1;27] Man rebelled against his Creator, and fell into sin. [Genesis3:1] As a result, man became spiritually dead, [Colossians 2:13 ]and in fact was totally unable to seek God.[Romans 3:11] God from eternity past, pre-ordained all things,[ Ephesians 1:5] joined a certain people to Christ Jesus, that He might redeem their sins and in so doing bring glory to Himself. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died in the stead of the chosen people, offering complete and total forgiveness of sins through His death on the cross of Calvary. No other work can offer the forgiveness of sins apart from Christ. [Hebrews 9:22]
We believe that God in His sovereign grace and mercy regenerates the sinner by the power of the Holy Spirit, not by any action of man, leading to a new life [(Ephesians 2:4-6]. God gives to man the gifts of faith and repentance, resulting in believing in Christ and turn from their sins in love for God. As a result of this faith, [Romans 12] based on the Sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ, God justifies or makes righteous who believe [Romans 5]. Divine gift of faith, and the continuing work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of the elect, is in good works. These works flow from true faith, are a necessary result of faith, but should not be considered necessary to obtain justification, which is by grace through faith, so that no one can boast [Ephesians 2:9].
We believe that Jesus Christ established His Church, composed of all the elect of God [1st Peter 1]. His Church, as dutiful wife, listening to His Word as found in the Bible. All who believe in Christ are placed in his body, [Romans 12:5] the Church. Local expressions of the Church are very important and every believer should actively participate in this community.
We believe that Christ comes again [Hebrews 9:28] [John 14:1-3] [Acts 1:11] to judge the living and the dead. [1st Peter 4]This promise is found throughout the inspired Scriptures. Until His return, believers must live a life that gives glory to God through Jesus Christ [Matt 22:36-40] .The Church must be busy doing the work of evangelism and discipleship,[Matthew 28:19] proclaiming the pure, uncompromised Gospel of Christ through teaching the Word of God.
